Active and Passive Voice

Active Form
In active sentences, the thing doing the action is the subject of the sentence and the thing receiving the action is the object. Most sentences are active.
[Thing doing action] + [verb] + [thing receiving action]

Examples:
We are going to watch a movie tonight.

Passive Form
In passive sentences, the thing receiving the action is the subject of the sentence and the thing doing the action is optionally included near the end of the sentence. You can use the passive form if you think that the thing receiving the action is more important or should be emphasized. You can also use the passive form if you do not know who is doing the action or if you do not want to mention who is doing the action.
[Thing receiving action] + [be] + [past participle of verb] + [by] + [thing doing action]

Examples:

A movie is going to be watched by us tonight.

Memorable Experience

Hi! I’m Debi. In this task , I’d like to share about memorable experiences since I was in Kindergarten. Pay attention please!!

When I was 5th years old, I was a student of TK Al-Hidayah. I got closer to my friends because we rode the same pick up service car and also I often played with them. There were Isel, Nabila, Ajeng, Aji, Fahri, Baskoro, Eka, and Daus. I was well-known among teachers because of my mom was very active and cooperative about my Kindergarten events. Oh yes, talking about events. When Kartini’s day, there was a festival in TMII and my kindergarten was one of the participants. In that festival, there were so many contests such as coloring contest, sport relay race, poetry reading contest, traditional dance contest, modeling contest.

As a girl who was 5th years old and join the festival, I dreamt to wear kebaya from java culture with beautiful make-up. When the day was almost approaching, my mom couldn’t prepare it. And till the day of the festival, my teacher announced that the students should gather in Kindergarten. I wore sport clothe from home. I went to Kindergarten with my mom, dad, and brother. Then I arrived in Kindergarten, I thought that kebaya would be wore in Kindergarten. But I realized that my friends have done the preparation for the festival. Isel wore bali custome that made her look very stunned. Because I wore sport clothe, I was selected to participate sport relay race with others. I felt sad because every Kartini’s day, I never had a chance to wear kebaya. But as I grow older, finally I had worn it. Not for Kartini’s day, but the graduation event, wedding event, and another formal events.
